Zoning and Land Use/Municipal Law Hal joined McCabe & Mack as a full partner in 1994, bringing with him forty-two years of vast legal experience. Hal presently is a member of McCabe & Mack's Municipal and Land Use Group, and he is considered to be one of the premier land use and municipal lawyers in the Hudson Valley. Hal also acted as counsel on many of the largest development projects in the area and has counseled developers and landowners in obtaining municipal approvals for their subdivision and site development projects, as well as representing those entities in the formation and sale of their various projects. He has also acted as special counsel to various town governments on land use issues, as well as representing many of the fire districts in this area.
Residential and Commercial Real Estate Hal represents purchasers and sellers in all aspects of residential and commercial real estate from the first time home buyer to the commercial and industrial institutions.
Tort and Commercial Litigation/Commercial Law Hal's experience in the court system since 1966 has left him with name recognition in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Judicial Departments.
Wills and Estates Since 1966, Hal has provided services to his clients by drafting and executing their Wills, Powers of Attorney and Health Care Proxies. Hal, using the Poughkeepsie and Hyde Park Offices, has counseled thousands of clients in Estate Planning and Elder Care Law for over 40 years.
Hal's wife, Marge, is a registered nurse having graduated from the St. Francis School of Nursing. Hal, Marge and their three grown children are avid sailors and skiers as are their six grandchildren. Their son, Chris, is a practicing attorney in White Plains, New York.
