Albert Rosenblatt, a retired justice of the New York State Court of Appeals and now president and Board of Trustees of Historical Society of the New York Courts, addresses a standing-room-only crowd of local teachers and students Thursday morning at the Ulster County Courthouse in Uptown Kingston, N.Y., as the Court of Appeals prepared to convene for the day. The Court of Appeals, New York’s highest court, usually sits in Albany but came to Kingston Thursday to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the rebuilding of the local courthouse. The justices of the court were to hear arguments in three cases in Kingston.
